About The Position

Clancy School is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and student-centered educator to join our elementary team as a 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2025–26 school year. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is passionate about teaching young learners, building positive classroom communities, and fostering academic and social-emotional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Valid Montana Class 1, 2, or 5 Teaching Certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement (or eligibility to obtain one by start date).
• Demonstrated classroom management and instructional skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration.

Nice To Haves

• Prior successful teaching experience in a lower elementary classroom.
• Familiarity with current educational technology and its use in the classroom.
• Knowledge of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in all core subject areas including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports the development of each student.
• Use data to assess student progress and guide instruction.
• Develop lesson plans that meet individual student needs, including differentiated instruction and accommodations for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
• Implement school-wide policies and expectations.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
