About The Position

The position coordinates curriculum and instruction services that address the academic and behavioral needs of all students. It provides high-quality professional development and program support services.

Requirements

  • Must hold appropriate Administrative License (preference given to Elementary Licensure).
  • Preferred K-5 Teaching Experience.
  • Preferred Elementary Principal Experience and/or preferred K-5 Curriculum Experience.
  • Ability to develop and implement clear pathways to successfully achieve program objectives.
  • Act according to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
  • Embraces high performance standards (e.g., engagement, proficiency, resilience, etc.).
  • Holds/maintains required Ohio State Board of Education credentials.
  • Maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates curriculum design and quality control processes.
  • Promotes effective teaching methods and accountability.
  • Quantifies student achievement.
  • Assists with Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) activities.
  • Develops training materials for self-directed learning activities.
  • Evaluates, documents, and develops curricular alignment.
  • Helps administer testing programs and establishes uniform procedures for accurate recording and analysis of testing data.
  • Identifies emerging student needs and relationships between interventions and achievements.
  • Helps staff identify and use technology resources that complement teaching styles.
  • Helps students acquire appropriate functional skills.
  • Helps students develop attainable, measurable, relevant, and specific educational goals.
  • Identifies opportunities for staff to share timely assessment data with parents/guardians.
  • Maintains effective document and records management systems.
  • Models teaching techniques and helps staff improve pupil management and instructional skills.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Provides leadership for the advancement of best practices and academic standards.
  • Implements initiatives that support continuous improvement in student participation and achievement.
  • Recommends course additions and monitors grade advancement requirements.
  • Serves on building leadership and local professional development committees as directed.
  • Uses comprehensive assessments to obtain objective student data.
  • Supports student access to inclusive educational opportunities.
  • Uses positive behavioral intervention and supports to maintain discipline.
  • Works with staff to develop standards-based curriculum guides and high-quality courses of study.
  • Consistently performs all aspects of the job and pursues high-quality results.
  • Develops mutually respectful relationships with co-workers and functions as part of a cohesive team.
  • Helps ensure the accuracy and privacy of confidential information.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and sustains an acceptable attendance record.
