Walthill Public School is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team! As we prepare to open a brand-new, state-of-the-art campus in Fall 2028, this is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the educational experience of our youngest learners. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in all core subject areas (reading, writing, math, science, social studies).
- Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth and cultural awareness.
- Assess student learning regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions and individualized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support student success and well-being.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline and restorative practices.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Support students' development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning skills.
- Contribute to school culture by engaging in extracurricular activities, committees, and community events as appropriate.
