About The Position

The Kirkwood School District is hiring Classroom Assistants to support our Elementary Schools during the 2024/2025 school year. Classroom Assistants support the Elementary School classroom by working with students, supporting instruction, and working closely with Teachers. Classroom supervision and some clerical work are a part of this role.

Requirements

• Two years of college (at least 60 college credit hours as required by MOSIP standards) or an associate degree and 1 year of related work experience
• OR Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field
• College coursework related to early childhood, education, or special education (preferred)
• CPR certification and first aid training (preferred)

Responsibilities

Benefits

• Salary starts at $18.52 per hour, dependent on experience
• Most Classroom Assistant positions are part-time, 10-month assignments
