About The Position

The Assistant Elementary Principal is an instructional and operational leader within the elementary division (PK–5). This role supports and advances the academic vision set by the Executive Leadership Team and implemented by the Elementary Principals. This position goes beyond administrative support and requires educational expertise, leadership judgment, and the ability to step in as acting principal when needed (short- or long-term). The Assistant Elementary Principal helps ensure the overall health, consistency, and excellence of the division through leadership, systems management, and direct support of teachers and programs. Responsibilities vary throughout the year and are assigned by the Elementary Principals.

Requirements

  • Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.
  • Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living.
  • Be in whole-hearted agreement with Covenant Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith (Doctrinal Position) and CCA’s vision/mission.
  • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. (Luke 6:40) This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct.
  • Be a Christian who is, and will remain during the period of employment, an active member of a Christ-centered church, growing in his/her Christian relationship with God, and actively practicing and exhibiting Christian principles of the Christian faith; seek to role-model in speech, actions, and attitude a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ; set an example of the importance of spiritual discipline; and encourage students in the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and growing in their faith.
  • Recognize parents as primarily responsible for their children’s education and support them in that role.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
  • Maintain emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism under daily pressures.
  • Model a professional appearance consistent with Christian standards and school policy.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Respect and support established authority.
  • Notify administration of any policy he/she cannot support.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
