About The Position

Primary Purpose: Assist the school principal in the overall administration of instructional programs and campus-level operations. Coordinate assigned student activities and services. Support a positive school climate conducive to high student achievement, staff collaboration, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in educational administration or related field
  • Valid Texas principal certification (or mid-management certification)
  • T-TESS appraisal certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level
  • Ability to handle stress, coordinate multiple tasks, problem solve, and work with a diverse population.
  • Regular walking, standing, sitting, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience preferred (e.g., team lead, instructional coach, committee chair)

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Leadership Assist the principal in monitoring the implementation of curriculum and instruction.
  • Participate in data analysis and campus improvement planning.
  • Observe classroom instruction and provide coaching/feedback to teachers.
  • Help lead professional learning communities and staff development initiatives.
  • Student Management Implement campus discipline procedures in alignment with the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and counselors to support student behavior and social-emotional needs.
  • Coordinate student activities, arrival/dismissal procedures, and supervision schedules.
  • Personnel Management Assist in recruiting, selecting, and orienting new staff.
  • Support the appraisal and growth of instructional staff.
  • Help monitor staff attendance and substitute coverage.
  • School Operations Support the principal in campus operations, including schedules, testing coordination, transportation, safety drills, and special events.
  • Serve on or lead campus committees and initiatives.
  • Communicate with parents and community members on behalf of the campus.
  • Other Perform duties as assigned by the principal or district administration.
  • Comply with all district policies, state and federal laws, and campus procedures.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise certified and non-certified staff and volunteers as assigned.
