POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Principal at Madison Elementary School supports the Principal in providing instructional, operational, and equity-centered leadership within a dual language learning environment. This role plays a critical part in advancing the school’s Spanish–English dual language program by supporting high-quality instruction, bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural competence for all students. The Assistant Principal collaborates closely with staff, students, families, and the broader community to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging school climate grounded in respect for linguistic and cultural diversity. Responsibilities include supporting instructional improvement and curriculum alignment in both languages, promoting data-informed decision-making, strengthening family and community partnerships, leading restorative and preventative student discipline practices, and ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. The Assistant Principal leads with an equity lens to close opportunity gaps and ensure that all students—particularly historically underserved learners—receive the instruction and support needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
