About The Position

The Assistant Academic Administrator at Colorado Preparatory Academy (COPA) is responsible for leading and managing business operations within the school. Requirements

  • Colorado Professional Elementary Administrator Certification.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Master's degree and five years of educational experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to clear required background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.).
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure educational programs conform to state and local school board standards through evaluation and coordination activities.
  • Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed.
  • Articulate the school's mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding.
  • Utilize communication technologies to support a predominantly virtual work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding special education and other categorical programs.
  • Interface with students, families, and local districts regarding compliance related to student attendance and engagement.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the school's Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
  • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, managing teacher performance and providing necessary training.
  • Confer with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems.
  • Coordinate with teacher and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals.
