Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a clinical, laboratory, chemical, or biological science
- Must be comfortable in handling human specimens and have a high regard for safety and good laboratory practices.
- Ability to work the shift of M- F 12PM - 8:30PM, training for this role will take place during regular shift hours
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: Degree in chemistry science (analytical chemistry, biochemistry, etc) or degree in medical technology from an accredited institution
Responsibilities
- Adhere to written standard operating procedures and quality control policies
- Ability to read and comprehend science documents
- Ability to pipette with accuracy and experience with conducting basic laboratory procedures
- Ability to complete assignments and multitask with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong communication skills in written and oral form
- Ability to perform scientific math equations including the following: ratios, percentages, dilutions and conversions
- Familiarization with Microsoft Office, and basic computer skills
- Communicate production issues in a timely manner to the department manager
- Must be able to meet attendance requirements and have flexibility in scheduling
- Display flexibility and a professional demeanor while working in a demanding work environment
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
