SkyWater is actively seeking an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team to support Wafer Services and Advanced Technology Services in Kissimmee, FL. The role will be responsible for the definition, implementation, and support of the SkyWater, Florida ESD Control Program in support of Advanced Packaging semiconductor manufacturing processes. The role will work closely with fellow engineers and technicians to ensure products and processes meet specifications and standards.

Requirements

  • Typically requires STEM Bachelor's degree with 5 years related experience or advanced degree with 3 years experience.
  • Familiarity with following written test procedures.
  • Understanding of basic electrical theory and terms such as voltage, resistance, current, and power.
  • Familiarity with hand-held ESD testing equipment such as electrostatic field meters, resistance meters, and charge plate monitors.
  • Clear problem-solving capability with data-driven, systematic approaches to identifying solutions.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic, and self-motivated, and able to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities to meet business needs.
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ANSI/ESD S20.20 and TR-53 testing methodologies'
  • Certification from the ESDA such as ESD Program Associate or ESD Control Program Auditor.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and advanced packaging processes.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in the manufacture of semiconductors and/or advanced packaging.
  • Experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Auditing, ISO9001, or AS9100 requirements.
  • Data analysis including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Process Validation/Qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and support of the ESD Control program in compliance with the ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements.
  • Performing Product Qualification and Compliance Verification testing in accordance with the ANSI/ESD S20.20 and the ESD TR-53 testing methodologies.
  • Performing internal program audits to identify gaps, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement to the ESD Control Program.
  • Functioning as part of a cross-functional team to meet and exceed the requirements of the ESD Control Program.
  • Initiating and completing corrective actions to address gaps and nonconformities using a structured problem-solving methodology.
  • Communicating internal audit results and corrective actions through verbal and written means as well as published internal memos.
