About The Position

To maintain consistent pacemaker and ICD information and follow up on all enrolled pacemaker and ICD patients. Responsibilities Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by adhering to federal and state laws, regulations, and corporate policies related to job functions, and reporting concerns appropriately. Assess and reassess adult and geriatric patients with implanted cardiac devices. Provides comprehensive follow-up care for patients with implanted cardiac devices. Collaborates with other healthcare providers to adjust the plan of care as needed. Assists in maintaining a current database for device clinic patients. Knowledge and understanding of proper billing and reimbursement as it applies to implanted cardiac devices. Assists in device clinic scheduling and triages patient phone calls. Performs additional device testing and documentation as needed for A-V and V-V echo optimizations and clinical trials. Competently provides patient teaching and resources (e.g., support groups, health fairs), and performs other office duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technician program or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • BLS
  • 1-year cardiology experience

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year pacemaker experience preferred
