About The Position

Electrophysiologist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in the Greater Hickory Metro area of North Carolina. Our 137-bed licensed acute care hospital includes 110 medical and 27 psychiatric is a member of the UNC Health System. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Physicians Network provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to the surrounding market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. UNC Caldwell is seeking an Electrophysiologist to add to the team! General Description: Full-time; Would require some clinic, inpatient and ED coverage UNC Heart & Vascular- 322 Mulberry Street, Lenoir, NC 28645 with long-term plans for a satellite location in Granite Falls, NC. Would perform procedures in the cardiac cath lab; echo & stress lab are located within the clinic, pacemaker clinic is available, cardiac rehab is available. A brand new, state-of-the-art Heart Center will be open in early 2026 and will be attached to the hospital with pre/post patient bays & 2 cardiac cath labs. Commitment to purchase EP equipment upon hiring of permanent EP physician; there is a current partnership with local EP physician until then. 24/7 access to an Intensivist Staff: UNC H&V has 1 interventional cardiologist, 1 APP and a partnership with a local physician who currently assists with hospital call and works in the cath lab. Actively recruiting a vascular surgeon and medical cardiologist. Seeking an eager physician who would enjoy helping build a new program!
