About The Position

This position cares for patients before, during and after their electrophysiology procedure, including Pacemaker, ICD, CRT, Leadless devices and SVT, AFIB, AV node, Aflutter, VT PVC ablations, lead extraction and Watchman procedures. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, post-procedure care and patient education. $15,000 Sign-On Bonus Available

Requirements

  • RN: Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of nursing technique as normally acquired through completion of an associate's degree in nursing culminating in licensure as a RN.
  • ACLS certified.
  • Knowledge of critical care nursing as normally acquired through 2 years' experience working in a Medical Center or similar setting.
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 1 month of hire or transfer
  • BLS: Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire or transfer
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing care of the device implant, ablation, lead extraction and watchman patients
  • Assisting with scrubbing, circulating cases and sterically dropping supplies on procedural tray
  • Records all pertinent information appropriately the EMR
  • Managing operating systems, equipment and supplies (Cardiolab, Micropace, Claris)
  • Collaborates with physicians to provide a plan of care for each individualized patient.
  • Assists in other radiology/cardiology procedures as needed
  • Performs clinical functions as needed
  • Delegation and coordination of tasks and assignments of nursing care.
  • Assumes the responsibility for processional growth by seeking out educational opportunities and utilizing programs in the hospital
  • Precepts / mentors new employees and students

  • Knowledge of critical care nursing as normally acquired through 2 years experience working in a Medical Center or similar setting.
