About The Position

Provides general medical and specialized care and treatment to patients in medical facility such as clinic, health center, or public health agency, under direction of Physician. A specialty clinic advanced practice nurse is a highly specialized mid-level provider who works with other professionals to perform specialty services to patients in a particular area of expertise. Cardiology NP - Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center, Janesville, Wisconsin Mercyhealth is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team in Janesville, Wisconsin. Opportunity: Join a robust and ever evolving Electrophysiologist with advanced practice providers, specializing in cardiac devices, heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms. Coverage will include hospital and main clinic. You will enjoy an outstanding referral system from 2-primary care satellite clinics. Mercyhealth is a multi-regional, integrated health system comprising five hospitals, more than 600 employed physicians, over 80 outpatient clinics and other service sites that provide care to residents in more than 60 communities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We provide over 75 specialty and sub-specialty services, including neurosurgery, heart and vascular care, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, da Vinci robotic surgery and much more. Requirements

  • Ability to work well independently and under pressure.
  • Strong communication/interpretive and analytical skills.
  • A high level of independent judgment and ability to handle empowerment for independent action.
  • Ability to pass the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and/or Illinois Health Care Worker's Background Check.
  • Graduate of an accredited MSN program
  • Current WI RN license
  • Current APNP
  • Current DEA number
  • ATLS certification
  • Other certifications as required.
