Requirements

• Associate degree
• Must be a Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Tech, Respiratory Therapist, or Radiology Technologist
• 3+ years of clinical experience in electrophysiology lab
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care assisting the physician during cardiac, vascular and electrophysiological invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Ensures the safe operation of all equipment used in the EP labs.
• Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to cardiac catheterization lab standards to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Prepares the patient for procedures, monitors, positions, and assists the patient during procedures.
• Assists the physician throughout the procedure.
• Assesses the procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
• Safely operates electrophysiology support equipment including EP recording system, 3D mapping, and EP stimulator, and maintains medical devices.
