Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Electrophysiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The qualified candidate for this position will be expected to provide direct patient care, as well as coordinate clinical care in the outpatient Cardiovascular Medicine Sub-specialty clinics and the Cardiac invasive procedure lab. Under the supervision of the Medical Director for the Heart Health Center, supervises the mid-level providers, ensuring a seamless flow of work to meet the patient care demands. Lead the delivery of quality patient care services meeting or exceeding quality, patient and employee safety, patient satisfaction and regulatory standards in compliance with local, state and federal rule. Meet all Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements Obtain complete history and physical and document findings in a systematic format Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests Order medications and medical devices as needed Interpretation of Zio patch recording Evaluation of patients in Device clinic Perform Electrophysiology Procedures Perform Inpatient and Outpatient Electrophysiology Consults

Requirements

  • NYS License
  • Completion of approved residency and fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Board Eligible and Certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide Cardiovascular outpatient services within the scope of the Physician’s license, and in accordance with the goals and by-laws of the Division of Cardiology.
  • Lead the delivery of quality patient care services meeting or exceeding quality, patient and employee safety, patient satisfaction and regulatory standards in compliance with local, state and federal rule.

  • Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests
  • Order medications and medical devices as needed
  • Interpretation of Zio patch recording
  • Evaluation of patients in Device clinic

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $342,872 (board eligible); $352,872 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $432,679 (board eligible) and $443,679 (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
