About The Position

McLaren Greater Lansing is actively recruiting an Electrophysiologist for an established EP service line at our new hospital campus in Lansing, Michigan. This position offers the opportunity to join a busy practice supported by a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and a full ancillary staff. The role is focused solely on electrophysiology (EP) and atrial fibrillation, with no general responsibilities, allowing for a specialized practice environment. Participation in Watchmen procedures is required one day a week in the Hybrid Operating Room (OR). The EP Lab is equipped with a new Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) ultrasound system, enhancing the capabilities of the service line. Additionally, the EP service line is in the process of developing a Device Clinic that will utilize Vector remote downloads, supported by a Registered Nurse (RN) Device Coordinator. Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC). The EP service line is an extension of the 23-provider Heart and Vascular Institute, which includes one Electrophysiologist, three Cardiologists, three Interventionalists, one Structural Heart Interventionalist, two Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and several Advanced Practice Providers. The facility moved to its new hospital building on March 6, 2022. Among its services are a Level III Trauma Center/Emergency Department, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute, comprehensive cardiac programs, medical/surgical units, and state-of-the-art women and children's health services, including a modern birthing center. The healthcare campus also houses the Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Greater Lansing and an Outpatient Care Center. Residency programs are affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Statewide Campus System, offering residencies in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, anesthesiology, and obstetrics/gynecology. Fellowships are available in cardiology, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, and pulmonary critical care. McLaren Greater Lansing also participates in city-wide residency programs in emergency medicine, neurology, urology, psychiatry, and physical and rehabilitation medicine.
