About The Position

An Electronics Testing and DD Specialist plays a critical role in our electronics resale and wholesale operations. Primary responsibilities will include testing, evaluating, and preparing various electronic devices, including computers, laptops, servers, and mobile devices, for resale or wholesale. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring data destruction to protect customer privacy and adhering to industry standards for quality assurance. We offer a great benefit package and great wages. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in training personnel as needed or directed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Electronics Testing and Evaluation: Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of a wide range of electronic devices, including computers, laptops, servers, and mobile devices. Identify and document any issues or defects and determine the overall condition and functionality of each device. Data Destruction: Follow secure and thorough data destruction procedures on all electronic devices to ensure customer data privacy and compliance with applicable data protection regulations. Utilize industry-standard data wiping tools and techniques. Resale and Wholesale Preparation: Prepare tested and data-wiped electronic devices for resale or wholesale, ensuring they are in optimal condition and properly packaged for shipment or sale. Quality Assurance: Enforce strict quality control standards to guarantee the highest quality of refurbished and resold electronics. Ensure that all devices meet the established quality criteria and perform final checks before releasing them for resale or wholesale. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of tested, evaluated, and refurbished electronic devices. Update inventory records accurately and promptly to track device status and availability. Market Research: Stay updated on the latest trends, pricing, and demand for various electronic devices in the resale market. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize pricing and inventory strategies. OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshooting and Repairs: Collaborate with the repair team to troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing and evaluation, ensuring that devices meet quality standards before resale. Mobile Device Evaluation: Specialize in the evaluation and testing of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. Assess their condition, functionality, and cosmetic appearance to determine appropriate resale values.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of electronics components and hardware

One to two years of related experience.
Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move up to 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able, on occasion, to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Able to complete physically demanding work.
Good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance.
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
Prolonged periods standing and/or walking
Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
Must be able to work on components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
Must be able to visually inspect equipment.
Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
Must be able to see details at close range.
Must be able to wear protective equipment for eye/ear/feet.

Supervisory experience Preferred
Professional designations in computer CompTIA A+ or similar Preferred
Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test
Experience safely using forklifts, lift trucks, and hand trucks Highly preferred
