We are currently seeking a professional Test Technician to join our dynamic team. The Test Technician will test and troubleshoot defective electronic sub-assemblies, batteries, chargers, and accessories detected during the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Technical/trade education or equivalent vocational training in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience or related experience in Test Technician or similar role.
  • Understanding of circuit boards, microprocessors, chips, and computer hardware and software.
  • Solderer 454 certificate or surface mount soldering skills are a plus.
  • Understanding of how to use testing equipment to troubleshoot and interpret test manuals, specifications, and related documents.
  • Problem solving skills, self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Soldering and electrical assembly, reflecting a level of craftsmanship and technical skill.
  • Math skills and calculations to interpret results to aid the testing process.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams, enabling comprehensive analysis and troubleshooting to the component level.
  • Document test results and inspection data, comparing findings with specifications to ensure product conformity to company standards.
  • Repair or rework products/components using electrical-mechanical assembly and soldering methods.
  • Calculate, collect test data and results to verify results are adherent to functional specifications.
  • Participate in prototype assembly and the New Product Team to grasp product requirements and assist troubleshooting.
  • Identify and explain issues related to product quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to other team members.
  • Assist to accomplish system level repair/rework tasks or assembly, including reliable SMT component or microchip replacement as needed.
  • Perform tests on assembled batteries, chargers, power supplies, and related wiring boards using tools like testing meters, oscilloscopes, and calipers.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
