We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Space Electronics Center team. As an Electronics Test Intern, you will play a key role in driving cost savings and performance improvements in our production processes. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with various teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance our manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Software, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related engineering major)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Familiarity with software such as Creo, AutoCAD, Zuken, etc.
  • Familiar with programming languages
  • Coursework in RF engineering, mechanics, CAD Drafting, lean manufacturing, power engineering, machining, automation/robotics, materials science, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWIs) to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement design changes that reduce production costs and improve product quality
  • Work with the quality team to identify and mitigate potential quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with production leadership to improve 6S initiatives and optimize shop floor layout
  • Collaborate with engineers and production technicians to improve tooling and troubleshooting processes
