About The Position

The Electronics Technician position at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) involves performing maintenance and reconditioning services on complex weather sensing electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 level in the Federal service, including maintenance or inspection on electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair on electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform depot level maintenance and reconditioning services for weather sensing electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate complex data acquisition and communications equipment.
  • Develop and devise improvements and alterations to technical equipment and instruments.
  • Provide technical advice on design and operational problems related to equipment and processes.
  • Conduct complex tests and analyze results.
