About The Position

Electronics Technician The Opportunity: As an electronics techni cia n, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to providing digital forensics and engineering analysis on devices that threaten the safety of both the warfighter and law enforcement personnel. We’re looking for an electronics techni cia n who can use their skills to apply advanced technical solutions in support of law enforcement investigations. At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to support a broad range of partners in law enforcement. Our team performs a wide range of technical examinations required to successfully exploit both commer cia l and custom electronic devices. This includes performing electronic data recovery and digital forensic examinations to identify and understand information of interest. In addition, you'll c ond uct reverse engineering and characterization of both the electrical function and communication characteristics of electronic circuits, while using complex instrumentation to test circuit function. That’s why we need you, someone who can capture critical information regarding the device’s functionality to provide detailed analysis reports to law enforcement organizations, the military services, and international partners. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience testing electronic or electrical devices with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multi met ers
  • 4+ years of experience performing analysis on, generating schematics of, and troubleshooting electronic or electrical devices to the component level in various c ond itions
  • 1+ years of experience extracting data from networks and devices such as computers, mobile devices, drones, and Internet of Things ( IoT ) devices
  • Knowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB layout
  • Knowledge of physical interfaces used for inter-IC communication, including I2C, SPI, LPC, or PCIE
  • Ability to prepare written documents, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials
  • Ability to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and resp ond to technical questions and requests from customers
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Asso cia te's degree in an Electronics field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Chain of Custody and evidence handling procedures in a forensic laboratory
  • Experience with imaging, extracting, and parsing data from electronic devices
  • Experience with reverse engineering tools, including IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Ghidra
  • Ability to program with Python, C, and C++ programming languages
