The electronics technician will plan, layout, install and maintain, program and trouble shoot electrical and electronic controls and equipment, including PLC and motion control devices, and will perform mechanical tasks associated with the above situations. You must be able to work from complicated drawings, specifications or wiring diagrams and have a hands-on knowledge of electricity and electronics. Also must be able to work without drawings and create such drawings when necessary for project work and keep current with new developments in your respective field. You are required to direct the work of helpers, instruct plant emergency squad members and operate a power truck. You must adhere to all facility safety guidelines and encourage communication and participation of personnel to further identify and reduce/eliminate potential hazards. Constant care is required to prevent injury to others. All work must be performed in accordance with National Electrical Code Requirements. Must adhere to and support all facility environmental guidelines and procedures to identify additional pollution prevention projects to reduce waste and raw material consumption and are responsible for organization and cleanliness of the work area, and support and abide by all procedures set forth to assure product and process quality and plant manufacturing principles. Must have a minimum of FIVE (5) years of experience as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment and must have proficiency with PLC and other electronics equipment. Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution Relocation is offered within the United States
