Requirements

  • High School Diploma and zero (0) to three (3) years of experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Knowledge of soldering best practices.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures within electronic technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assemble products with consistent high-quality output.
  • Ability to learn new processes, procedures, functions, and best practices in an ever-changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and electrical schematics to prepare and assemble electronic/mechanical assemblies.
  • Use IPC standards and/or other internally specified requirements, solder components and cables to assemblies with surface mount, wire to wire, and through hole applications.
  • Use T.D. Williamson (TDW) PLM system to find all needed documentation.
  • Follow all applicable documentation, including wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, work instructions and/or other supporting documentation to correctly assemble, program, test and troubleshoot electronic/mechanical assemblies.
  • Test sensor cables and analyze and interpret data.
  • Comply with safety protocols, rules, and best practices to ensure safety of self and others, including proper handling of hand tools and power tools/equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly area.
  • Track developmental progress and attain advancement to Electronics Technician; complete assigned training modules by specified due dates.
