About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is a progressive and established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O&M); weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M; technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. At Eglin Air Force Base, SA-TECH provides Range support services including Marine Operations O&M, O&M and engineering support for all remote-controlled Foreign Military Equipment (FME) land targets and sea targets, as well as O&M for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and associated range instrumentation systems. We also provide Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) as well as management oversight, design, integration, installation and pre- and post-test operations. SA-TECH conducts concurrent land operations on Eglin Test and Training Range and seaborne operations in the Eglin Gulf Test and Training Range (EGTTR), plus deployed training missions outside of ECTTR along the Texas coastline and in the Key West, FL vicinity, keeping EW, communication and instrumentation systems, and land and marine targets and support vessels operational to meet a demanding mission operations tempo. We are currently seeking an Electronics Technician, Maintenance II at our Eglin AFB MSTTE South location near Miramar Beach, FL to (among other duties): Troubleshoot, repair, alignment, and operation concepts for complex electronic equipment. Operate and troubleshoot computer controlled instrumentation, as well as analog and digital interface equipment. Applicant will utilize operational knowledge of various types of test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, and frequency counters. Knowledge of RF components and radar subsystems, including transmitters, receivers, and servo systems. Duties will also include interfacing with military and civilian test customers to ensure mission success. Other duties may be assigned such as safety, security, PIPR, and TMDE. Key to success in this role will be well-seasoned experience with maintaining, troubleshooting and operating ground-based (and possibly other) military radar systems.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in electronics field or certificate of completion from an accredited Technical school, or equivalent military technical training, and minimum three years’ experience in the listed duties required.
  • Well-rounded experience with radar systems.
  • Must have an understanding of computer controlled instrumentation, as well as analog and digital interface equipment.
  • Possess a good operational knowledge of various types of test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, and frequency counters.
  • Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb.
  • Must be willing and able to wear company provided personal protective equipment; such as hearing protectors, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
  • Must comply with all applicable USAF and SA-TECH safety rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Changing work locations, shift changes, and overtime required at times to support operations.

Nice To Haves

  • A good working knowledge of troubleshooting, repair, alignment, and operation concepts for complex electronic equipment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of RF components and ground based radar subsystems, including transmitters, receivers, and servo systems is highly desirable.
