The Electronics Technician Maintenance II will support maintenance and repair operations through the application of advanced technical knowledge and diagnostic expertise. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of complex electronic systems and equipment, ensuring all work performance in accordance with technical manuals, engineering specifications, and established maintenance procedures. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies both basic and advanced technical principles to solve complex problems that cannot typically be resolved by standard reference materials alone. Duties include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, performing circuit analyses, and incorporating engineering changes as needed. The technician exercises independent judgment in selecting tools, planning work sequences, and conducting detailed testing using instruments such as oscilloscopes, frequency, and analyzers, pulse generators, and complex control equipment. This role also requires strong understanding of the interrelationships between electrical circuit components. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, accuracy of diagnostic results, and proper documentation of maintenance actions. Work may involve providing technical guidance to lower-level technicians and ensuring compliance with accepted maintenance practices and safety standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical ability, technical proficiency, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
