About The Position

The Electronics Technician Intern is responsible for testing and verifying power electronics hardware for VFDs including power supplies, power factor correction (PFC) circuits, and 3-phase inverters. Additional areas of focus include evaluation of root cause analysis work on returned products. Provides additional technical support as needed. Key Responsibilities Complete product testing as needed using industry standard test equipment. Assists in analyzing returned materials. Validate standard hardware designs. Participate in product development and innovation projects. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Skills and Abilities Desire to do hands-on testing/troubleshooting of circuits Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools (e.g., pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools, and electrical test equipment (e.g., multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) Ability to follow industry and company safety guidelines. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow Ability to exercise independent judgment Demonstrated mechanical/electrical problem-solving skills Experience with circuit design layout - preferred Electronics trouble shooting experience - preferred Familiarity with PCBA, CAD tools (Altium or another PCB design tool) - preferred Programming/Simulation (Matlab, LTspice, Simulink, LabVIEW) - preferred Education and Experience Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above. Freshman or Sophomore status in college. Requirements
