About The Position

NDTE Technicians will perform specific NDTE program related tasks and follow directions from the NDTE Team Lead and/or Field Engineer in non-complex engineering tasks of an analyst support or test nature. The NDTE Technician under the supervision of the Team Lead/Field Engineer will assist with the assembly, troubleshooting, and operating the system utilizing mechanical drawings and manuals. The NDTE Technician inventories inbound body armor by source and size for processing. The NDTE Technician is responsible for initial sorting and preparing body armor for processing by conducting tap testing, visual and basic physical inspection, and isolating body armor in need of external material repair. The NDTE Technician will process the sorted body armor through the AIS, apply the appropriate disposition label dictated by the AIS, perform necessary external material repairs, and package processed body armor per program material handling policy. NDTE Technicians under the supervision of the NDTE Field Engineer will conduct troubleshooting procedures on the circuit-level control wiring, physical inspections, and scanning processes, to include the proper use and application of the RUPS-Hybrid and the EMD repair kit.

Requirements

  • HS Graduate or GED
  • At least 3 years of experience in the last 5 years reading and utilizing mechanical drawings and manuals.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the last 5 years performing general electrical control and electronic troubleshooting
  • At least 3 years of experience in the last 5 years with circuit-level troubleshooting and system-level control wiring troubleshooting.
  • Annual radiation safety certification
  • Active Secret required
