About The Position

Parsons is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician specializing in cable assembly, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, and electro-mechanical systems. In this role, you will support the production, assembly, and testing of electronic components and systems, contributing to the success of cutting-edge projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required due to supporting the DoD.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and ability to pass an IPC-J-STD Class II solder test.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend complex assembly drawings, electronic drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • High school diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience in the electronics field.
  • 3+ years of Computer competency in MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, accessing computer network drives etc.
  • Quality orientated with high attention to detail.

  • Experience in IPC-A-610 Class II preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build/Assemble various types of cables, wiring harness assemblies, and electro-mechanical assemblies per engineering drawings.
  • Precision hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components and coax wires.
  • Perform quality and functionality tests of cables, electro-mechanical assemblies, and printed circuit boards.
  • Tests will be performed using various test methods and equipment to include but not limited to power supplies, digital multi-meters, and/or oscilloscope.
  • Troubleshoot and repair/rework of nonconforming parts.
  • Provide technical support to engineers on assigned tasks working within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or engineering methods.
  • Assist in setting up experiments and/or tests; check out and calibrate equipment prior to conducting tests.
  • Conduct tests and experiments following established procedures.
  • Work closely with technical and engineering personnel to assist in resolving issues.
