Requirements

  • A 2-year degree in Electronics or related field, Certified Electronics Program (18 months), or a 4-year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or related field.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent knowledge depending on education.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting to the component level, interpreting schematics, and using tools like voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and Hi-Pot meters.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes are essential.
  • PR Certification must be obtained within the probationary period.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing and self-directed teaming environments.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Use specialized test equipment to evaluate electronic products, identifying issues down to the component and sub-assembly level with precision.
  • Analyze schematics, drawings, and specifications to set up and perform tests, ensuring products meet rigorous standards.
  • Share your expertise by cross-training and mentoring other technicians, while providing technical guidance to assemblers.
  • Recommend process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear written and oral feedback on test results, troubleshooting efforts, and quality observations.
  • Keep your workstation and tools organized, comply with safety regulations, and engage in a self-directed teaming environment.
