As an Electronics Technician 1, you will play a crucial role in the repair and reconditioning of electronic hardware used by the Federal Aviation Administration. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic systems, conducting repairs, and ensuring that all equipment passes prescribed procedures for safety and reliability. Primary Responsibilities Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and analyze electronic hardware issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Repair and Reconditioning: Perform repairs and reconditioning of FAA electronic hardware to ensure optimal functionality and reliability. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure it meets FAA and Leidos standards and specifications. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, including troubleshooting steps, parts used, and testing results. Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of technicians to address complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Compliance: Adhere to all Leidos regulations and guidelines throughout the repair and reconditioning process. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the electronics repair department. At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.” If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.
