About The Position

The Electronics Specialist is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical components used in control panels, motion control systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role ensures that products meet quality and performance standards through precise assembly and inspection procedures. Responsibilities vary by experience level, with higher levels involving more complex tasks and leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical systems, panel building, or motion control integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly and wiring techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with inventory and manufacturing software (e.g., SyteLine).

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and production drawings.
  • Assemble and align components, including transformers, resistors, and connectors.
  • Perform basic wiring, crimping, bolting, soldering, and fastening operations.
  • Inspect components and complete functional testing to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks, including packaging and labeling.
  • Install and integrate electronic and mechanical assemblies into final products.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on faulty components.
  • Perform quality control inspections and refine assembly processes.
  • Utilize specialized tools (drills, taps, punches, presses) to modify components.
  • Work with engineers and production teams to resolve assembly issues.
  • Lead advanced assembly and integration of motion control and automation systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Perform environmental and stress testing on finished products.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Optimize shipping and receiving workflows to improve efficiency.
