Requirements

  • Ability to Obtain/maintain SECRET Clearance.
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Possess ability to work in a team environment.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner to support repair deadlines and/or ship s schedules.
  • Possess exceptional organizational, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with all levels of the contractor and government/military organization
  • Ability to operate various types of electronic test equipment (Digital multi meter, oscilloscope, signal injector)
  • Ability to read and comprehend electronics schematics and diagrams
  • Ability to conduct precision hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount electronic components on multi-layer circuit cards
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of US Government depot level repair policies and practices
  • Familiarity with Navy funding sources
  • Knowledge of AC and DC voltage circuits, concepts, troubleshooting, and measurement
  • Experience with soldering wires & terminals, through hole and surface mount components
  • Experience with de soldering methods and circuit card preservation practices.
  • Knowledge of logic circuits, and devices
  • Familiarity with various types of computer hardware and software is desired

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process and track electronic assemblies from US Naval sources
  • Inspect, Evaluate, Troubleshoot and Repair electronic assemblies, at the component level, in accordance with US NAVY and local work instructions
  • Develop/Update Technical Data Packages for conducting evaluations and repairs
  • Develop/Update local work instructions for conducting evaluations and repairs
  • Conduct receipt inspection of materials and parts
  • Maintain and conduct audits on, material and repair parts inventories
  • Perform research and purchases of repair parts
  • Maintain proprietary laboratory test units and systems to ensure all testing devices are in proper operating condition and ready for immediate use
  • Prepare/Maintain reports and written laboratory procedures to reflect the current and up-to-date standards and practices
  • Provide In-Service Engineering Support to US Naval Ships and Submarines
  • Develop relationships with Government customers and source new work
