The Electronics Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic components and assemblies. This position is responsible for adhering to company policies and procedures while maintaining the highest standards for quality workmanship, safety, and housekeeping. The inspector must be experienced with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole (TH) electronic components, as they will be responsible for identifying problems and issues regarding product quality and production discrepancies. The inspector will make IPC acceptability decisions during inspections and must be computer literate, with a certification in IPC-A-610 (Classes II and III) and IPC-A-600 specifications as they relate to PCB and assembly manufacturing. In this role, the inspector will be expected to recognize problems in the operation process or with components and communicate these issues to the supervisor for immediate correction. Essential duties include recording and collecting specific data and metrics to identify issues and define necessary corrective actions to ensure the production of a quality product. The inspector must read, understand, and comply with ISO procedures and work instructions, maintain a neat appearance in their work area, and be accountable for the quality, quantity, and inspection of work performed. Safe work habits are paramount, and any unsafe conditions must be reported to the supervisor promptly.
