Join Our Team as an Electronics Project Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment. Location: This position does not support teleworking ; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Join us as a Project Engineer where you will be involved in planning and executing avionics work scope and program execution.

Requirements

  • Electronics development, manufacturing, or systems engineering experience.
  • Prior technical project leadership experience.
  • 5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree.
  • While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Post secondary degree in a STEM discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering) from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in technical hardware project management and tasking.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • You must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the electronics design/development, manufacturing, and test process for high-reliability applications.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing flow for electronics (PWB, CCA).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change.
  • Experience in project management principals (Cost/Schedule/Technical).
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking.
  • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment).
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that projects are completed on cost and schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
  • Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, Integration and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
  • Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers
