About The Position

An Electronics Production Technician is responsible for the teardown, sorting, and consolidation of used computers, laptops, servers, and electronic peripherals for recycling and resale. This role requires strong attention to detail and supports the safe, compliant handling of electronic devices while adhering to environmental regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of computer components and peripheral hardware
  • Willingness to work hard and remain motivated
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with electronics disassembly, sorting, or recycling preferred
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electronics teardown
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to electronics recycling
  • Ability to lift and move materials safely in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
  • Must pass a background check per R2 standards for handling sensitive data
  • Must pass forklift training or demonstrate safe forklift operation on-site
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, and carry materials
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Ability to wear required PPE for eyes, ears, and feet

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift, lift truck, or hand truck experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Physical teardown of electronic systems using various tools and methods
  • Physical sorting of components into segregated categories
  • Consolidating, packaging, labeling, and inventory control of segregated materials
  • Operating inventory management systems through proper identification and labeling
  • Quality verification of segregated and ready-to-ship materials
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, safety, and systems
  • Track, record, and report work progress and goals
