Electronics Machine Operator - Surface Mount Operator
About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Machine Operator to join our team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a surface mount line. The Operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The operator uses computer-controlled equipment to adjust machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Reports to a supervisor or manager and works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Nice To Haves
- Prior experience operating surface mount equipment highly preferred.
- Prior work experience in an electronics manufacturing area.
- Ability to recognize a wide range of electronic components.
- Previous machine operator experience.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate surface mount equipment (Printers, Placers, Oven).
- Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address basic process and equipment problems.
- Operate several machines with an understanding of how to replenish supplies and components.
- General machine cleaning and upkeep per the standard operating procedures.
- Perform some troubleshooting and repairs for normal functioning.
- Inspecting parts for defects before and after the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Installing components such as transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, and other semiconductor devices onto printed circuit boards (PCBs or other electronic components.
- Understands how to read the BOM and drawings.
- Follow all Company Safety and ESD Program requirements.
