Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electronics Installation Technician to join our team! In this role you will get to perform installation of navigational aids, communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment on airfields across the United States National Air Space (NAS). This position is 100 percent travel throughout the USA. All travel expenses are paid. Full benefits offered. T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work. What You'll Be Doing: This position works as part of a construction and installation crew installing new or upgrading existing equipment and systems such as navigational aids, air traffic communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment. The Installation Technician completes projects on airports and at remote facilities in various environments. Work will involve electronics systems installation, civil construction tasks, and electrical equipment installation tasks. Assists with site preparation work at ATCT, remote telecommunication sites, Enroute Centers and Terminal TRACONs. Assists with Fiber Optics Terminal System (FOTS) installation at various sites throughout the USA. Assists with electronics installations, integration and testing, electrical power panels; conduit; cableways; control cables; duct banks; AC power panels; racks for various FAA systems. Removes and repairs or replaces components, wires, wire bundles, terminal blocks, and/or connectors. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
