Job Mission We are looking for an Electronics/FPGA Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure highly reliable electronics for ASML’s EUV systems by developing automated test infrastructure, performing in-circuit verification of FPGA designs, and supporting hands-on testing in the lab. You will work with advanced technologies such as digital communication, photo-detectors, signal acquisition, and distributed high-precision timestamping, collaborating with cross-functional teams to qualify new FPGA features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience as an integrator and/or test engineer for electronic/electrical functions.
  • Broad technical knowledge of electronics with basic understanding of physics, mechanics, mechatronics, firmware, and software.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience for analog and digital designs.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.
  • Knowledge of cabling, connectivity, and electronic safety.
  • Comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (git).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in FPGA design and/or verification, including hardware bring-up and in-circuit test.
  • Experience with Linux environments.
  • Exposure to CI/CD integration for test automation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute experiments on test setups or prototype machines to validate requirements.
  • Develop work breakdown structures and estimates for FPGA electronic product integration.
  • Specify and document test requirements in collaboration with FPGA design teams.
  • Design and maintain qualification tools for verification and integration purposes.
  • Own and maintain firmware test benches.
  • Analyze and resolve reliability issues; support smooth transition of new designs to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate FPGA qualification within overall electronics qualification strategy.
  • Influence electronic design for diagnostics, testability, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving during prototype integration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
