About The Position

The Electronics Engineering Manager will lead the development of the TMK2 Common Subsystem for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program, focusing on avionics product development in a collaborative Integrated Product Development environment. This role involves overseeing the design and development of missile cables, electronics enclosures, and power subsystems, while ensuring effective communication and coordination among various functional groups throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience/education.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electronics engineering.
  • Experience in mechanical and electronics hardware design, development, and testing of avionics electronics.
  • Project leadership experience in electronics hardware design.
  • Experience in product ownership for missile, space, or high reliability applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with missile mechanical hardware development including cables and electronics enclosures.
  • Experience in cost account management (CAM) and risk/opportunity management.
  • Experience working with electronics suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience with avionics architecture and circuit design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Aerospace experience supporting development of flight hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the TMK2 Common Subsystem for the FBM program.
  • Oversee the design and development of missile cables, electronics enclosures, and electronics power subsystems.
  • Ensure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
  • Communicate technical status and issues to program and technical leadership, as well as to the customer.
  • Conduct personnel management for a portion of the FBM Electronics team, including recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Manage performance assessments, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Participate in technical reviews and audits.
