Crown is hiring an Electronic Engineer to join our team. This position is 20% travel and will be assigned to a geographical part of the United States, likely in conjunction with FAA regional boundaries. The Engineer is responsible for managing radio installation projects from start to finish, covering all 5 project processes (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing). The role involves working with complex telecommunication equipment and facilities and associated broadcasting equipment for air to ground communication. Familiarity with switching systems, copper telephone lines, coaxial cable and fiber links is essential. The Engineer will review facility drawings & documents including structural building and plot plans, electrical, Telco and signal flow schematics, provide cost estimates for projects, and procure all installation materials. Regular communication with all project stakeholders and managing any change requests is required. The Engineer will deliver project plans and engineering design packages, risk mitigation, state and federal required work orders and permits, and coordinate regularly with the electronic installation team to ensure all requirements are met. The role also includes working with the facility manager on closing out the project and ensuring there are no exceptions to the scope agreement, conducting the initial site survey to determine the current state and condition of each communication facility, and engineering installations at Federal facilities.
