Crown is hiring an Electronic Engineer to join our team. This position is 20% travel and will be assigned to a geographical part of the United States, likely in conjunction with FAA regional boundaries. The Engineer is responsible for managing radio installation projects from start to finish, covering all 5 project processes (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing). The role involves working with complex telecommunication equipment and facilities and associated broadcasting equipment for air to ground communication. Familiarity with switching systems, copper telephone lines, coaxial cable and fiber links is essential. The Engineer will review facility drawings & documents including structural building and plot plans, electrical, Telco and signal flow schematics, provide cost estimates for projects, procure all installation materials, and maintain regular communication with all project stakeholders. The position also includes delivering project plans and engineering design packages, risk mitigation, state and federal required work orders and permits, and coordinating with the electronic installation team to ensure all requirements are met. The Engineer will work with the facility manager on closing out the project and conducting the initial site survey to determine the current state and condition of each communication facility. Engineering installations will occur at Federal facilities, including ARTCC, ATCT, BUEC, RCAG, RCL, RCO, RTR, and Mobile Communication Vehicles.
