The Electronics Systems Branch at Langley Research Center is seeking a qualified Electronics Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electronics and satellite technology for aerospace applications. This role involves providing leadership and technical direction in the design, development, and testing of electronic and satellite systems, with a focus on enhancing engineering processes and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in electronics or satellite technology, providing leadership and technical direction.
  • Evaluate and assess satellite or electronics engineering systems and identify novel technologies.
  • Implement and enhance engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art electronics or satellite systems.
  • Lead hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of satellite or electronics systems.
  • Mentor other electrical engineers in electronics or satellite technology.
  • Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science, or Computer Science.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in developing electronic or satellite engineering systems.
  • Experience in evaluating operational requirements and objectives for electronic systems.
  • Ability to identify and document engineering problems and develop solutions.
