What You Will Contribute: The Electronic Controls Technician I (ECT I) supports the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic control systems for water treatment facilities and related infrastructure. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with fieldwork, making redline corrections to drawings, and learning the fundamentals of control panel integration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical training or coursework in electronics or electrical systems preferred.
  • 0-1+ years of experience in electrical or controls-related work.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and control wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (with guidance).
  • Familiarity with hand tools, conduit bending, and wiring practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of control panels and wiring in the field.
  • Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of less complex systems.
  • Support senior technicians during field installations and commissioning.
  • Make redline corrections to control panel drawings.
  • Learn and follow safety protocols and electrical standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and documentation.
  • Up to 70% travel required.
