About The Position

Job Summary: The Electronics Assembly Lead owns day-to-day execution in their production area. This role leads people, drives flow, and still builds product. Roughly 30-40% of time is spent leading and coordinating; the rest is hands-on assembly, inspection, and end-of-line testing of Qnergy products, including continuous production and first-time/prototype builds. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production Control, Quality, and Management to keep output safe, on time, and to spec.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus technical certification (EET, soldering) with 8 years’ experience or HS diploma with 12+ years in precision manufacturing.
  • Proven team lead who can hold standards and build credibility on the floor.
  • Experience with in-process testing, inspection, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Comfortable with computers, documentation, and basic math.
  • Detail-driven, organized, and able to juggle priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Standing for extended period; repetitive assembly work.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Manual dexterity, strong hand-eye coordination, and color differentiation.

  • LabVIEW experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set clear daily production expectations and assignments.
  • Maintain safety, 5S, and organized workspaces.
  • Run weekly team meetings, surface issues, and drive Kaizen.
  • Train, coach, recognize strong performance, and address gaps.
  • Partner with HR on documentation and performance improvement when needed.
  • Track training, certifications, and job competencies.
  • Sequence work to hit production schedule and delivery commitments.
  • Assemble, inspect, and test electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ensure production documentation is accurate (build books, travelers, work order).
  • Document and support resolution of quality issues (NCs, deviations, RPIs).
  • Monitor tools and equipment; coordinate maintenance and perform basic repairs.
  • Manage area inventory and coordinate with Production Control as needed.
  • Report sub-assembly builds and daily production activity when required.
  • Build and troubleshoot high-power analog and embedded digital electronics.
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, datasheets, and work instructions.
  • Integrate electrical and mechanical subsystems.
  • Support diagnostics using firmware tools; LabVIEW experience a plus.
  • Identify component replacements using datasheets and vendor knowledge.
