About The Position

The Electronics Assembly C position involves assembling and disassembling electronic subassemblies and final assemblies, utilizing both written and paperless work instructions. The role requires performing various product build processes, including component level solder rework, and adapting to different products as directed by management to meet business needs. Candidates should have an awareness of aviation products and specifications, which is considered a plus.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Computer skills and working knowledge of Windows-based programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry standard solder skills (preferred but not necessary upon hire).
  • Current certification to IPC A610 and JSTD 001 (preferred).
  • General knowledge of Lean or demand flow manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and teardown electronic subassemblies and final assemblies using written and paperless work instructions.
  • Perform product build processes, including component level solder rework.
  • Attach mechanical and electrical components, wiring harnesses, and solder connections.
  • Conduct intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, cleaning, curing, stamping, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Use manual and semiautomatic assembly machines and tools as needed.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Follow production drawings, process instruction sheets, and sample assemblies or verbal instructions for assembly.
  • Disassemble products to any level and perform rework/repair activities to achieve acceptable function or airworthiness.
  • Perform material control functions, including picking components and applying material control identification.
  • Conduct serialization and product ID labeling using PC-based programs and label generation tools.
  • Perform hand soldering of through hole and surface mount components to IPC A610 and JSTD 001 standards.
  • Conduct dimensional and visual acceptance inspections of assigned products to IPC A610 and ISO SOP standards.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to meet specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Utilize computer skills and knowledge of Windows-based programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Participate in functional cross-training within the department and support various business areas as needed.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with approved procedures supporting Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
