Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Electronics Assembler III to join them. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in Elma, New York.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble high reliability Box Builds and final assemblies using chassis, circuit cards, stand offs, wire harnesses, epoxy/ staking, conformal coating, solder and crimping, electrical and mechanical instruments.
  • Complete inspections and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) checks.
  • Perform high reliability soldering and crimping operations on complex sub-assemblies, electronic, and mechanical assemblies, repair of circuit boards, jumper wires, and wire harnesses.
  • Proficient in the disassembly, reassembly and repair of electronic assemblies such as electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Work from assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, parts lists and other instructions.
  • Maintain process certification per company specifications and maintain traceability of all hardware and materials.
  • Establish set‑ups for performance tests for assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and systems, including necessary fixtures, tooling, equipment, and potentially the use of temperature chambers.
  • Familiar with computers and software, working in Excel (can perform complex functions) with spreadsheets and applications.
  • Document drawing for nonconformances.
