We are seeking a creative test and integration engineer to help us build innovative technology applications for the next generation of electronic warfare systems. Your work will contribute to ensuring the US and its allies dominate the RF spectrum. You'll be joining our hardworking team of system engineers, algorithm developers, FPGA and embedded software engineers, and advanced EW technology enthusiasts who enjoy working together to craft creative solutions to complex challenges. Integrate prototype capabilities to test novel concepts to defeat enemy radar and communication systems. Work in a collaborative, fast paced lab environment to develop and evaluate EW capabilities. Study current and future radar and communication systems and evaluate their performance. Share insights with sponsors and APL staff to help shape the future of electronic warfare.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a concentration in signal processing, embedded software, FPGA design, RF design, or another related degree/discipline.
  • Have at least five years of relevant experience related to RF test and integration.
  • Have strong C++ programming experience.
  • Have strong MATLAB or Python programming experience.
  • Have strong familiarity with RF test equipment (signal generators and spectrum analyzers).
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another related discipline.
  • Have at least ten years of experience in the RF test and integration field.
  • Have experience in FPGA design, especially with Xilinx Vivado and Vitis.
  • Have experience in developing and testing electronic warfare systems.
  • Have experience with signal processing for radar and communication systems.
