About The Position

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking an Electronic Warfare Engineer at our customer site at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. This engineer will work with SRC’s Digital Generation (DGEN) subsystem, a component of the Next-Generation Electronic Warfare Environment Generator (NEWEG) RF simulator and will act as a liaison between the NEWEG program and SRC’s DGEN product team. Additionally, this engineer will work with highly complex radar threat models and integrate them into the NEWEG environment enabling realistic, reactive, and real-time simulations of threats to a system under test for the purposes of test and evaluation (T&E).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related technical field
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to understand and write basic scripting code (Python or Matlab)
  • Ability to document/support technical analysis and assessments across several technical disciplines
  • Must be able to meet eligibility requirements for a Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF test equipment
  • Experience designing, installing, and managing various lab equipment to include servers, switches, routers, virtual machines, etc
  • Experience with software-based simulations (object-oriented programming) and languages (Python, C++, MATLAB)
  • Familiarization with EWIRDB and DoD modeling and simulation programs (NGTS, AFSIM, DIADS, JSE)
  • Understanding of radar and antenna design/analysis, signal processing, and radar requirements analysis
  • Military experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert in the DGEN system with detailed knowledge of the relationship between data models and system hardware
  • Debug simulation issues related to source models, simulation engines, and system interfaces
  • Support hardware integration for new simulator installation and test sites
  • Work with the intelligence community to develop workflows supporting NEWEG scenario generation
  • Support organizations charged with exploiting EWIRDB information to develop weapon systems and electronic countermeasures and to formulate tactics and operational deployment strategies
  • Develop scenarios and the required waveforms for simulation based on customer requirements
  • Work with the Intelligence Community (IC) to communicate program requirements and provide product feedback
