The Electrical Technician will provide support to plant operations through troubleshooting, performing maintenance, repairing and installing of equipment, electrical systems and components. This position works on a rotational four on four off 12-hour schedule. This opening will be scheduled 5pm-5am. The starting rate of pay is $38.5006 with an additional $2 an hour shift differential.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems and devices within the plant
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
  • Edit PLC programming
  • Diagnose component issues
  • Assist in new installations and upgrades of plant equipment
  • Conduct process checks as required
  • Perform regular safety inspections to ovens
  • Work with and lead outside contractors as needed to complete projects or various plant maintenance functions
  • Keep work area safe, clean and organized
  • Assist and support other production floor operations as required
  • Keep Manufacturing Supervisors and Manufacturing Managers informed of operational status of equipment.
  • Complete all administrative tasks, including logbooks, data entry and record keeping in proper order; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 -10 years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work overtime or weekends if necessary (for projects)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of variable speed drives (programming and set-up)
  • Experience with high pressure hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with automated material handling systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics and manuals
  • Experience troubleshooting magnetic controls (e.g. switches, relays and solenoids)
  • Knowledge and experience terminating transformers and electric motors
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of OSHA's electrical safe work practices (e.g. Lock-out/Tag-out, NFPA 70 Electrical Code, NFPA 79 Machinery Standards)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic troubleshooting and calibration for electronics
  • Basic knowledge of servo and stepper motors and drives
  • Experience with installing and fashioning electrical conduit and installing electrical wireway and associated hangers
  • Able to use DVM, analog type multi-meter, Amprobe, megger, oscilloscope and soldering station #FB
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or Journeyman's card
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience programming and setting up Allen Bradley PLCs
